This stunning girl was our farm's first venture into appaloosa genetics, and we couldn't be happier with her. She has amazing coverage from head to toe, bright and crimpy fiber, perfect compact conformation and a curious and confident attitude to go with it! She is one of only six female appaloosas produced by Billabong, and is certainly one of only a handful of harlequins sired by him. Bloodlines, quality and cuteness all wrapped up in one! Isabella’s fleece looks just as beautiful in person as it does in the picture, and then add her fineness, bundling and staple length. Isabella’s sire, Snowmass Elite Iceman, not only holds an amazing 14 championships, he at 5 years of age, carries a very fine fleece with a 5 year AFD of 17.7. His skin biopsy at 4 years of age tested 80 follicles per sq mm and showed no medulation and an AFD of 16.97.

We were thrilled to be able to purchase Sparta at the 2021 Futurity auction, where she went on to take a 1st place in her class at the prestigious show. We have been looking for grey and black genetics to add to our foundation herd and we felt like this stunning gal ticks all of the boxes! Density paired with an advanced, high frequency crimp style, fineness, great substance of bone, gorgeous head and spot on conformation. The fact that she is sired by Amber Autumn Troy, who is closed to outside breedings, was yet another bonus! Sparta has had a successful show year and we are hoping for an even better one for her in 2022. We have high hopes for this sweet girl and can't wait to see what she produces for us in the future.

I fell in love with Ivy when I showed her for Irish Meadows in early 2022 at the Txolan Dual Show. Not only does she have absolutely breathtaking fiber, she is also a total sweetheart! We continued to show her after purchasing her following the Texas show and were thrilled when she brought home several more banners and was honored as the 10th place Huacaya Female in the AOA National High Point program! Ivy was bred to Irish Meadows Reputation for her first cria in spring of 2023.

Sired by world-class Futurity Champion and Judges’ Choice winner, CCNF Elixir, Acapella also has the distinction of being the full sister of CCNF Antares, this young white Herdsire who has won multiple championships in both halter and fleece (including a Judges’ Choice Huacaya at last year’s Empire fleece show), and who is poised to join their famous sire in the Stud Barn here at Cas-Cad-Nac. Anyone that’s watched yhis program over the past two years has seen what the first couple of batches of Elixir kids have meant for us and Acapella is another excellent representative of her paternal line. Over the last winter, as Acapella’s fleece grew a greater staple, she started to show that both she and her older brother were not flukes. Quite the opposite in fact. With amazing brightness and the soft, buttery handle (Acapella’s 2017 fiber stats: 13.4 AFD, 2.9 SD, 21.7 CV, 0.0 >30) we have quickly come to expect from our Elixirs, combined with the extreme staple length and organization we have seen so often in the SuperNova line (her maternal grand sire), she has a fleece that is simply a joy to behold.
